Scott became British Champion for a record seventh time at Monmore Green, moving ahead of speedway legend Barry Briggs.
“It wasn’t easy, which was nice. It’s always nice to win a title, but it’s nicer to work for it. It makes it that bit more special. I had some fantastic races with Bomber – good, hard, fair races.
“I was lucky I had a second stab at it. It didn’t necessarily go 100 percent to plan, but the end result was the right one.
“At least I can go in the record books for that and it’s great. I am very proud of that.”
